How to gift extraordinarily ft. A Life Less Ordinary

Ever since I began writing these stories, my primary goal had always been to dig a little deeper and reveal the people behind the business; their stories, their struggle and their success. And it is when I meet people like Aishwarya from A Life Less Ordinary that my belief in my concept is even further intensified.

An Indian joint-family setup can get all-consuming and within that structure maintaining your own identity or a sense of self-worth can prove to be difficult yet Mrs. Aishwarya Agrawal has been able to create an enterprise from within the four walls of her own home.

She has not only anticipated the demand of our fast-paced society that does not have enough time to personalise their presents but through her venture, A Life Less Ordinary, she has successfully fulfilled the demand of curated gifting solutions.

Personally, for me, it is very difficult to lug back luxury skincare and beauty products due to baggage restrictions. Gone are the days of lugging back Victoria’s Secret mists and Bath and Body Works lotions and sanitisers. Yet, their appeal hasn’t been lost. Aishwarya saw that and she creates gift boxes and travel sized kits with these products for the Ahmedabad market.

She deals with the niche market of luxury skincare, fashion and beauty and creates gift boxes and kits with 100% genuine products from Dior & Estée Lauder to Satya Paul & A&F. Aishwarya notes how husbands are always looking for last-minute gifts for their wives for their birthdays or anniversaries and this is something that is not only highly used by women but also comes across as very thoughtful because of how elaborate they are. They can be gifted to your girlfriends or can be purposed as a bridal hamper or bridesmaid gift.

Her creativity is not just limited to curating boxes. Recently, she has also begun designing and producing her own home accessories. Think agate, amethyst, rose quartz gilded with gold. Very regal and contemporary. She creates coasters, cake stands, bottle openers, cheese platters in marble and crystals and accentuates them with gold.

They are not only perfect for gifting in her special brass and glass boxes but also for your personal use around the house. Be it a bridal shower, wedding present, Diwali or festive gifting or corporate gifting, accessories such as these are fail-proof and can be used time and time again instead of chocolates and sweets that are perishable and often seem impersonal.

When you sit with Aishwarya, there’s an infectious sense of passion that she exudes. She is immensely attached to her kids and works after she’s put them to sleep or when they’re at school. With two kids, she has still managed to be a curator, designer and an entrepreneur and made a conscious effort to keep her creative energy flowing which young mothers often find difficult to hold onto.

And as far as her gifts are concerned, they are anything but ordinary. Just like Aishwarya and her products, lead a life less ordinary.
